Who we are
This website is run by Finch Environmental [registered name, number and address, to be added once registered]. Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Write to contact@finchafrica.com about anything in it.
What we collect
This site has no forms and no analytics. If you email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you include in your message. Like any website, our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.
Why we collect it
To reply to you and, if we work together, to manage that work. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not use your details for marketing.
Who we share it with
No one, except Jethost, which hosts this website and our email and handles your information on our behalf. Its servers are in [country, to confirm with Jethost]. We do not sell your information or pass it to anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or our work together, and no longer than two years after our last contact unless the law requires us to keep them for longer. Then we delete them.
How we protect it
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and our website and email accounts are protected by passwords that only we hold.
Your rights
You can ask whether we hold personal information about you and see it, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to contact@finchafrica.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies it uses are set when we log in to manage the site.
